La Belle Epoque Cafe

This is a delightful little bistro in Media. The menu is not expansive which in my opinion is good because what they do, they do well. I love the crepe section and had a lovely crepe with prosciutto, potato and gruyere. The crepe was perfect in that it was light and tender. It came with a salad that had a light vinaigrette. There is a prix fix with good options and includes a salad/appetizer, meal and dessert for around 30. The main plate options are either fish, beef or chicken, so there is an option for different tastes. Pricing is good and there are seats at the window so you can watch the world go by. Cocktails are available. My only caution is that the restrooms are in the basement so be careful on the steep steps.

French owned. Intimate. Savory. Busy. Provincial meal. Soup and main, bit on the salty side.

Can we talk about the muscles and how absolutely delicious they are? Like so good that we wanted to ask for more bread for sopping and take the broth home for grilled cheese sandwiches. I don't even like muscles, but they made me a believer. Everything else was equally great from the crepes to the chocolate lava cake. This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Media or maybe it was hidden in plain sight from me!
