La Belle Epoque Cafe

This is a delightful little bistro in Media. The menu is not expansive which in my opinion is good because what they do, they do well. I love the crepe section and had a lovely crepe with prosciutto, potato and gruyere. The crepe was perfect in that it was light and tender. It came with a salad that had a light vinaigrette. There is a prix fix with good options and includes a salad/appetizer, meal and dessert for around 30. The main plate options are either fish, beef or chicken, so there is an option for different tastes. Pricing is good and there are seats at the window so you can watch the world go by. Cocktails are available. My only caution is that the restrooms are in the basement so be careful on the steep steps.

French owned. Intimate. Savory. Busy. Provincial meal. Soup and main, bit on the salty side.

Can we talk about the muscles and how absolutely delicious they are? Like so good that we wanted to ask for more bread for sopping and take the broth home for grilled cheese sandwiches. I don't even like muscles, but they made me a believer. Everything else was equally great from the crepes to the chocolate lava cake. This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Media or maybe it was hidden in plain sight from me!

I had been looking forward to our dinner here for weeks. I was right on to expect so much -- this restaurant is lovely and delivered to us a beautiful evening. Beautiful to look at, the menu is classic yet modern. We started with a cheese plate, fabulous. My trout almondine was so good it almost turned me into a fish to stream upstream for more. Exquisite.

Got takeout during the quarantine. My family thought the rosemary chicken for 4 was delightful and the hazelnut crepe for dessert was amazing. Highly recommend.

I have never, everhad a bad meal here. Solid, authentic bistro food with consistently high quality service. Lovelove this restaurant!

We started out with the muscles oh my goodness they were so delicious. The best I've ever had and I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area. The ambience is eloquent and yet comfortable. The waiters were friendly and attentive. I give them five stars because I honestly believe that their food is far better than most of what I've ever seen or tasted. It's a whole experience.

Easily my favorite brunch spot in Media. They also put together a great dinner service.Great menu, service, and atmosphere. Quality cocktails and wine never hurt either.They are a great crêperie with a wide variety of choices along those lines. Even if crêpes are not your favorite entrees, there are also some other more traditional American brunch offerings, such as omelettes. Both their dinner and brunch menus features plenty of familiar options, but with their own flair.I would especially recommend the La Mer Crêpe or Moules Marinières... and for a more familiar offering, the French Dip sandwich.

Update: Just went again last night for an early Valentine's Day celebration. The Escargot and Duck were AMAZING. Such a great place, highly recommend.Great wine selection, great cocktails, Wes is amazing and friendly. The food is pretty great also. Very nice place.

Another amazing evening...The pork chop was, hands down, the best choice.However, it's not what I ordered; that was the grouper special, which was nice, light and subtle. Perfectly balanced in the buerre blanc with capers and tomatoes.My wife had the pork chop, which was a new preparation of a dish I had loved when it was recommended. It was even better the second time, though the first iteration was amazing enough.All in all, a great choice, as always!

My favorite french restaurant! Everything from the gourmet burger to the savory duck. You wont be disappointed. Impecable service even when grabbing a cocktail at the bar.

There aren't many places in the Philadelphia suburbs where you can get decent French food. This place is one of them. The room is cozy, the service is attentive and intelligent but not intrusive. And the food, well, it's excellent. The mussels are ridiculous; after you eat them just drink the sauce.

Excellent, perfect, magnifico! Pricey but worth it! Do not be fooled by the name. I had a perfect filet steak dinner with a nice presentation that included awesome peppercorn sauce! Good wine, good food, good service!

Great for brunch or dinner. Crepes are excellent and if you like escargot it does not disappoint. Plus everyone there is just wonderful, Tatiana, Elise, Ronin, Wes, James, treat them right, they deserve it. I might be a regular.

This is my go to place for authentic French food. Most of the food caters to the cafe style by having salads and a variety of crepes. My favorite dish is the la mer crepe, which is a seafood medley in a white wine sauce. I highly recommend trying all of their dishes and cocktails.

Smoked Salmon crepe was delicious and paired well with the fresh spring salad and my hot tea. Will definitely return for more.

I just can not spew enough flattery and joy and love that this gem of a place is part of my life here in ol' Media, PA. It was one of the first places that I walked in to during my first lonely year in a new town. It was love at first sight with the food, the atmosphere, the music piping in, the EVERYTHING. The Divine staff has, over the years, become such great friends and neighbors. They are consummate professionals and their knowledge of "how?, what?, and why?" when asked, has taught me so much about "how, what, and why" with the preparation of the selections on the menu, the distinctions between brands and vintage and flavors of beverage. The hospitality is stellar. And each time I visit, it's as if i am laughing with old friends. It is my favorite guilty pleasure in Media. Well done one and all. Thanks for everything.
